New Delhi: The second match of the three-match T20 series between India and England is set to be played at the Edgbaston ground in Birmingham. Team India defeated England by 50 runs in the first T20 to take 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Batting first at Southampton, India scored 198 runs for loss of 8 wickets, in reply to which England could score only 148 runs. In-form Jos Buttler, playing his first game as England captain after Eoin Morgan's retirement, could not do much for his team as he was bowled out for a golden duck on the very first ball he faced.

Buttler, regarded as one of the world's most explosive T20 batsmen, seemed to have no reply to some exceptionally good swinging deliveries from Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who stunned the English captain by destroying his stumps.

Jos Buttler, the Purple Cap winner in IPL 2022, got bowled for zero. This was only the second time in T20 International cricket that Buttler has been sent back to the pavilion for a golden duck as an opener and both times Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bagged his prized scalp.

The first time Buttler got dismissed for a golden duck in T20 International cricket as an opener was back in 2021 at Ahmedabad. Ind vs Eng 2nd T20I at Southampton was the second time when Buttler was dismissed for a golden duck in T20 International cricket.
