Stand-in skipper Steven Smith-led Australia defeated India by 9 wickets at Indore's Holkar Stadium in just two days and a session to win their first match in the ongoing four-match Border-Gavaskar series. India were bowled out for 109 in first innings and for 163 in their second innings. Australia, in their first innings, scored 197 runs before chasing down the required 76 runs for a win on the third morning.

Australia's inspiring comeback gave their fans a rare chance to celebrate after humiliating losses in first two Tests. In a viral video, an Australian fan can be heard saying superstar Allu Arjun's iconic "Jhukega Nahi Saala" dialogue as he recreated the iconic scene from super-hit 2021 film Pushpa.

Coming to Ind vs Aus 3rd Test, India decided to bat first after winning the toss. Indian batters were rocked by Aussie spinners, especially Matthew Kuhnemann as he attained a maiden fifer in Tests to bowl out the hosts for just 109 in their 1st innings. India made a good comeback as they restricted them to 197. Ravindra Jadeja (4 wickets) was the pick of Indian bowlers, while R Ashwin (3 wickets) and Umesh Yadav (3 wickets) took three wickets each. 


India, in their second innings, were bowled out for 169, courtesy of a record-breaking spell from spinner Nathan Lyon who took 8 Indian wickets. Australia chased down the 78-run target on day 3 to win IND vs AUS Indore Test, make series 2-1.
