The fourth and final Test of four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy is being played at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. Meanwhile, an incident took place in final over of India's innings on Day 2 which left captain Rohit Sharma fuming.

In the final over of day 2's play, Shubman Gill hammered a well-timed six after which the ball landed on the sight screen but got stuck there. An Indian fan came up with a praiseworthy effort to retrieve the ball as he jumped on the sight screen to get the ball out. Upon fetching the ball, the fan was spotted waving it for fans to see. While he was having his moment of fame, captain Rohit Sharma wasn't pleased with what was happening as he got angry and was heard yelling: 'Hatao usko udhar se (get him removed from sight screen)'.

Rohit Sharma looked quite irritated with the fan but the incident didn't have any impact on his batting. India openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill got India off to a strong start in reply to Australia's 480.

At Stumps on Day 2, India (36/0) trail Australia by 444 runs after having to bear the brunt of 480 runs. The pitch in Ahmedabad continues to favor the batters unlike Indian pitches in first three Tests. The wicket is expected to stay the same on Day 3 as well. The stars of match on Day 2 were Usman Khwaja and Ravichandran Ashwin.
While Khawaja amassed 180 off 422 balls to help Australia post 480 in their 1st innings, for India, Ashwin bagged a six-wicket haul after bowling 47.2 overs. Mohammed Shami picked two wickets while Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel bagged a wicket each.
