Naveen Patnaik Meets Men's Hockey Team: Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met the India Men's Hockey Team on Thursday, August 22, at his residence in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The Men's Hockey Team are coming off a successful Paris Olympics 2024, as they won a second consecutive Olympics bronze medal, thereby, ending the nation's 52-year wait for consecutive Olympic medals in Hockey.

Upon meeting the Former Odisha CM, the entire team acknowledged the support shown to them by the state government and shared a special message for Naveen Patnaik in a released video.
"All of us wanted to say a big thank you to you for all the efforts and contributions you have given to not just hockey, but the entire sporting culture of India. Naveen Ji has done so much for hockey, even during the times when we had no sponsors, he gave us a big sponsor," said India Men's Hockey Team.

Mohan Charan Manjhi Felicitates India Men's Hockey Team
The current Odisha CM, on Thursday, August 22, felicitated the India Men's Hockey Team with a grand amount of 15 lakh each for each player, and the sport staff was acknowledged for their efforts, as they were handed 10 lakh each during the felicitation ceremony.
"The award is in recognition of the Indian Men’s Hockey Team's stellar performance. Their dedication, skill, and perseverance have not only brought pride to the nation but have also inspired the next generation. The state of Odisha remains committed to supporting the athletes and nurturing future talent in the sport," said Mohan Charan Manjhi, Odisha CM.
