Marc Guiu Horrible Miss: It was a forgettable night for Spain's Marc Guiu in Chelsea's impressive 2-0 victory over Servette in their UEFA Coference League 2024/25 Qualification, as he ended up producing one of the most horrific misses you will ever see on a football pitch. The 18-year old, who came up the ranks after a breakthrough last season at FC Barcelona, dispossessed the keeper near the halfway line, and all he needed to do was tap-in the ball into an empty net, but failed to do so.

However, after the match, the player took to 'X' to apologise to Chelsea fans, and assured them that the player will work hard and improve in the future.

"Hey Blues, I want to thank you for your support during our game. I'm thrilled we won, but I'm also disappointed in myself for missing that goal. I know I had a great opportunity, and I'm truly sorry it didn't go in. Please know I'll keep working hard and learning from my mistakes. Thanks," said Marc Guiu, via a post on his official 'X' account.

The Chelsea coach had words of encouragement for the teenager, and had the following to say in the post-match interview:

"I said to him that he probably doesn’t like easy goals, he likes difficult goals! For me, it is very normal. He is [born in] 2006. He is the youngest one in the squad. The way he works off the ball, he runs a lot, he presses. It doesn’t matter, he is going to score," said the Chelsea boss, as reported by Chelsea Chronicle.
