San Marino's Historical Win: San Marino, a nation that always suffered defeats and rare of the rarest draws, a nation that did not taste a win in more than 20 years, has finally seen a turn in their fortunes as they record their first-ever win in a competitive competition.

The historical feat came against Liechtenstein in the UEFA Nations League D Group 1 fixture on Friday at the Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle in Serravalle, and the breakthrough moment came from attacking midfielder Nicko Sensoli, as the 19-year-old scored in the 53rd minute via a right-footed attempt into the centre of the goal.

At the full-time whistle, all the players on the pitch, and on the bench, went berserk, alongside all the fans present at the stadium, as the nation witnessed history before their very eyes.

The lowest ranked nation in the world, San Marino (210th) managed to beat Liechtenstein, who are ranked 199th in the world. The official all-time record of San Marino now stands at 2-10-199, which states 2 wins; 10 draws; and 199 defeats.
