However, this hat-trick has seen the 22-year-old break and match some historic records. Let's have a look at some of them:
- Karim Adeyami is the first Borussia Dortmund player to score a first-half hat-trick in a European competition since Marcio Amoroso's historic hat-trick against the all-iconic AC Milan side managed by legendary Carlo Ancelotti back in 2002, at the semi-final stage of UEFA Cup.
- Karim Adeyami is only the second German footballer after Mario Gomez to score a first-half hat-trick.
Karim Adeyami has now become the second player to score 3+ goals in a match in UEFA Champions League 2024/25 this season after Harry Kane and with the win, Borussia Dortmund are now on top of the table with 2 wins in 2 games, and a goal difference of a staggering +9.
However, injury forced the German striker to be substituted 3 minutes into the second half but inspite of playing merely 48 minutes out of the full 90, he still managed to bag the Player of the Match award.
