The Englishman achieved the feat during the first half against Burnley on Saturday, February 10, when he crossed in for Diogo Jota, who finished it with a beautiful header in the 31st minute. This assist now takes his tally to 58 assists in the league, surpassing teammate Andrew Robertson, who held the record with 57 assists, followed by Everton legend Leigton Baines, who has 53 to his name.
However, the right back was withdrawn at half-time by Jurgen Klopp and the reason for it was later confirmed as the defender suffered an injury during the first half.
