Watch Messi, Suarez, Alba combine for 2nd goal Vs Philadelphia Union:

The 2nd goal of Inter Miami was a near-perfect replica of FC Barcelona's iconic goal against Tottenham Hotspurs in the UEFA Champions League 2018/19 season.

It was Lionel Messi who started the build-up of the goal, and Jordi Alba's cross from the left side was laid in the path of Luis Suarez, who performed a dummy move over the ball, which presented a great chance for Lionel Messi to score on the near post of Hugo Lloris.

A user on Instagram posted an edit of the two goals, and the video has now gone viral.

Inter Miami Vs Philadelphia Union MLS 2024 HIGHLIGHTS

Lionel Messi was greeted with cheers around the stadium, as he stepped on the pitch in an Inter Miami shirt for the first time since June 1, as an injury in the Copa America 2024 Final ruled him out of action for nearly two months.

However, the home side made a frantic start, as lack of composure at the back gifted Philadelphia Union a goal inside 60 seconds.

Lionel Messi took the matter into his own hands, as he scored a sublime goal, assisted by Luis Suarez, in the 26th minute to make it 1-1, and followed it up with another goal in the next 4 minutes, as Inter Miami, in a matter of 5 minutes, went from 0-1 down to 2-1 up.

The home side were bailed out during the last stages of the match, as a blunder from Sergio Busquets almost gifted the visitors an equaliser, but Drake Callender did exceptionally well to deny Philadelphia Union their second goal.

In the last seconds of the match, a lofted ball met Lionel Messi in the centre, outside the box, but the Argentine unselfishly laid the ball for his close friend Luis Suarez, who finished the move with a brilliant strike, as Inter Miami sealed the match 3-1.
