Story of the Penalty Shootout in ISL Final

In the shootout, it was Bengaluru who started off the proceedings and Alan Costa did score off his attempt, sending Vishal Kaith to the wrong side. For the Mariners, it was Petratos who scored once again, his third spot kick all on the same direction and all beating Bangalore's Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.

Krishna then scored in the shootout for the Blues but soon ATKMB too scored off their attempt with Colaco managing to beat Sandhu. However, then the Player of the Match Kaith came showed his class as he denied Bengaluru's Bruno a goal. This was followed by Kiyan Nassiri giving ATK Mohun Bagana the lead with his penalty conversion. Chhetri did score off his attempt in the shootout but Sandhu's inability to save Manvir's shot followed by Perez missing his shot meant it was the first title for the ATK Mohun Bagan who won 4-3 on penalties in the ISL final.
