ISL 2023-24 Playoffs: The Indian Super League 2023-24 is about to reach the end of its league stage and the remaining matches are nothing but dead-rubber fixtures as the final six teams for the playoff stages of the franchise footballing league in India are finalised and locked in. The teams that have qualified for the playoffs are as follows:
- Chennaiyin FC
- FC Goa
- Kerela Blasters FC
- Mohun Bagan SG
- Mumbai City FC
- Odisha FC
Now that the six teams are locked in, their position is yet to be determined as Mumbai FC haven't mathematically finished as the table toppers of the league stage, with Mohun Bagan SG eyeing the top spot. However, the last season's table toppers can ensure their top of the table finish with a win against the former in their crucial fixture in Kolkata.
FC Goa, who looked like finishing at the top of the table, saw a string of losses and will now finish either 2nd or 3rd, or maybe even 4th, if Odisha FC pulls off a miracle.
The only certainity in the playoffs, is that Kerela Blasters FC and Chennaiyin FC are going to finish either 5th or 6th in the league.Β
So, given the above-mentioned facts and figures, no spot in the top 6 is fixed as of yet.
