Al-Nassr star forward Cristiano Ronaldo was seen fuming and raging as the Al-Hilal fans got the better of the Portuguese legend with their constant "Messi..., Messi...." chants. The incident occurred during the Riyadh Season Cup 2024 fixture between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr on Thursday, February 8 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

Ronaldo has been part of infamous controversies his entire career and this incident just adds to the long list, as the former Manchester United player's arrogance and pride in self ability is always on showcase. Al-Hilal and Messi have recently developed a famous bond, as the club is known to be a big admirer of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar winner and did offer the 'La Pulga' a historic 1.5 billion euros per annum deal, which the Argentine rejected and stating family affairs to be the major reason behind the decision.

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner then went on to shock the entire sporting world, by joining Major League Soccer side Inter Miami and not his beloved FC Barcelona. Cristiano Ronaldo had recently passed comments on the credibility of Ballon d'Or and such reaction to 'Messi chants' further provides content for the footballing world over the entire social media as his clip has gone viral.

Al-Hilal have historically been one of the best sides in Asian football and do carry a rich history. Al Nassr, on the other hand, have created a powerful roster consisting of highly prolific players and aim to etch themselves alongside Al-Hilal as one of the powerhouses of Asian football.

When the two giants of Saudi Pro League collided in the fixture on February 8, Al-Hilal dominated the team in yellow as first-half goals from midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (17') and Salem Al-Dawsari (30') were enough to tame the highly vulnerable Al Nassr side, who looked completely out of sorts and were outclassed in every department in their 2-0 defeat.
