Even the most disciplined of players sometimes tend to lose track in the heat of moment. There could be times when it's not deliberate, desperature measures can lead to a potentially dangerous tackle. All of these mistakes may mean red cards for the player. However, what happened on the football pitch during the Copa Peru match between Atletico Awajun and Cantorcillo FC is a bizarre incident in professional football.

It all happened in the 71st minute of the match. At this moment in the fixture, Awajun was awarded a corner kick. Cantorcillo goalkeeper Lucho Ruiz was down with an injury which forced the match to stop for some time as Sebastian Munoz waited near the flag for the football action to begin again after the injury break.

However, as the match witnessed a prolonged delay, Munoz thought that it was that he used the time to relive himself and urinated on the sidelines of the ground. Cantorcillo players were quick to bring the incident to the attention of the referee who wasted no time in flashing the red card, sending Munoz off the football ground.

The incident was captured on camera.

Sebastian Munoz In Disbelief After Referee Flashes Red Card

Even after the referee showed the red card to Sebastian Munoz, the player seemed to be in disbelief and failed to understand his offence. However, he had no choice but to continue his walk off the field.

This is not the first time that a player has been red-carded for such an offence. In 2017, Salford City goalkeeper Max Crocombe  was shown a red-card when he was caught urinating during a match against Bradford City AFC.
