This means that the Julian Nagelsmann-coached side will avoid the hot-favourites England in the match-up. As per the pre-fixed knockout-seeding, the table-topper of Group A will be facing the side finishing second in the Group C, a group that consists of the likes of England, Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia.

Germany skipper Ilkay Gundogan was instrumental in his side's 2-0 win over Hungary and was thrilled by the fact that the hosts have secured a berth into the knockout stages.
