FIFA World Cup 2022: Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo managed to bag the world's attention with his bombshell interview in which he lambasted Manchester United for 'betraying him'. After facing tons of criticism, Ronaldo has now hit back at his criticism, saying "I talk when i want to". The football legend had a frustrating tenure at Manchester United as he was benched for most of the games. Post the bombshell interview, it seems Ronaldo has ended his second stint with the Red Devils.

Ronaldo, at a press conference in Qatar was quoted as saying by GOAL.com, "Timing is always timing. From your side, it is easy to look at how we can choose timings. Sometimes you write truths, and sometimes you write lies. I don't have to worry about what others think. I talk when I want to. Everybody knows who I am, what I believe in."


Ronaldo is most likely playing his last edition of FIFA World Cup. Ronaldo-led Portugal will kick-off their World Cup campaign with a match against Ghana on Thursday, November 24. 


Meanwhile, one the eve of FIFA World Cup 2022, Ronaldo's lifelike wax figure was unveiled by world's greatest wax museum, Madame Tussauds in New York. With this, the 37-year-old became the first ever athlete to accomplish a “Times Square Makeover”.
