Burnley FC earned their right back to compete in the Premier League when they registered 2-1 win over Middlesbrough in an away match of their second-tier Championship game on Friday. The team managed by Vincent Kompany managed to take the lead with Ashley Barnes netting a goal in just the 12th minute of the match. However, the home team did manage to find the equaliser early in the second half with Chuba Akpom finding the back of the net.

However, the goal that turned out to be the difference between both sides was scored by Connor Roberts who scored who scored in the 66th minute and ensured that the Clarets will not finish outside of top two and hence get to play in the Premier League next season after being relegated for the ongoing season.

After Burnley FC's win, there was wild celebration at the Riverside Stadium with the players from the winning camp along with their manager also taking to the pitch before celebrating the victory with their fans.

A video of the same has gone viral on social media.

Notably, Burnley FC have been taken their unbeaten spree to 19 matches in a row which have taken them 19 points ahead of the third-placed Luton who only have six more matches to be played. Meanwhile, Burnley still have seven matches remaining in the season and their secured promotion happens to be the quickest of the Championship era.

Even though there were doubts over the Clarets future, the way they have bounced back is testimony to the positive effect Vincent Kompany has had on the team after taking over the managerial position a few weeks after Burnley was relegated from the league last year.

Last year's relegation was also the end of Burnley's six-year stint in the top-flight.
