Amad Diallo Hattrick: The drought is finally over for the Red Devils, as Manchester United have registered their first hat-trick scorer in the Premier League after a period of three years. Amad Diallo's late heroics saw the Ivory Coast winger score a 12-minute hat-trick, as Manchester United completed a comeback-victory over Southampton at their fortress — Old Trafford.
Amad Diallo is now only the third player ever to score a Premier League hat-trick inside the last 10 minutes of a game, joining Ole Gunner Solskjaer and Wayne Rooney in the esteemed list.
With his astonishing feat, the 22-year-old now becomes the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo to score a PL hat-trick for the Red Devils, with the latter achieving the feat against Norwich City back in the 2021/22 season.
'CR7', though, departed the club in a highly controversial, after Manchester United terminated his contract, following his public outburst few days before the commencement of 2022 FIFA World Cup, in a sensational interview with Pierce Morgan.
In the interview, the former Real Madrid forward fired shots at Manchester United's heirarchy and management, and futher ended up criticising then-head coach, Erik Ten Hag.
Cristiano Ronaldo proved to be a huge disappointment in the mega event, as then-Portugal manager Fernando Santos, benched the star player, due to his lack of tracking-back and build-up play.
