England is unlikely to play some big stars in their upcoming Test series against New Zealand. It seems like the Coronavirus-induced lockdown has impacted the players' mental health.
England players who were involved in the suspended IPL 2021 will most likely be rested for England vs New Zealand Test series so that they can get the much-required break.

England is slated to play a two-match Test series against New Zealand which starts from June 2 at famous Lords stadium in London.
According to a report in BBC, England players who were involved in IPL 2021 before the T20 League was suspended indefinitely, will not be hurriedly picked for NZ vs Eng Test series.
Players like Jose Buttler, Chris Woakes and Sam Curran, Johnny Bairstow and Moeen Ali, who are now in mandatory 10-day isolation after returning to the UK, will not play the first Test match of the series against New Zealand starting on June 2.
Some of these players have reached London after the postponement of IPL 2021 and are quarantined in hotels near Heathrow Airport. Most of these players have not only practiced less but also want a break from the quarantine period.
Meanwhile, ECB Director of Cricket Ashley Giles had recently said that English players involved in the suspended Indian Premier League, are unlikely to be available for the remainder of the tournament if the cash-rich T20 League is rescheduled in the year 2021.
"We're planning on involvement of England players in England matches. We've got a full FTP schedule. So if those tours to Pakistan and Bangladesh are going ahead, I'd expect the players to be there," Giles said as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
