What sparked a surprise in his selection was the omission of legend MS Dhoni, one of the greatest captains and wicket-keepers in cricket history.
In a conversation with TV anchor and social media influencer Shefali Bagga, Yuvraj Singh named his all-time playing 11. He picked 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar as an opening batsman, paired with former Australian captain Ricky Ponting. Yuvraj chose Rohit Sharma to bat at number three and Virat Kohli at number four.

Former South African captain AB de Villiers was chosen to bat at number 5. For the number 6 spot and the role of wicketkeeper, Yuvraj selected Adam Gilchrist.
The 2011 ODI World Cup winner selected ex-England star Andrew Flintoff as the number 7 all-rounder. Notably, Yuvraj and Flintoff shared a competitive rivalry during their playing days.
In the spin bowling department, Yuvraj included legends Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. For fast bowlers, he chose Wasim Akram and Glenn McGrath. Yuvraj named himself as the 12th player in his all-time playing 11.
