24 hours before the first India-England Test match, Yuvraj Singh has landed in England. Not as a last-minute inclusion in the Indian Test side but to keep himself fit and ready.
The swashbuckling left-hander posted a series of photos and videos on his Instagram account on Monday to confirm his arrival in the country. He is accompanied by wife Hazel Keech.
In the videos, Yuvraj was seen sprinting and running, in a bid to make a comeback to the Indian side and possibly return to England around the same time next year as a part of the Indian squad for the 2019 ODI World Cup.
Yuvraj has been out of the Indian side for the last one year. He last represented India in June, last year against West Indies and since then has failed to force his way back into the Indian side.
However, keeping in mind his wealth of experience and India’s need of a solid no. 4 in their batting line-up, a chance for Yuvraj’s return cannot be ruled out completely.
