Iconic Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been appointed as an Ambassador for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Yuvraj, a key member of the 2007 T20 World Cup-winning team, joins West Indies' cricket legend Chris Gayle and eight-time Olympic Gold Medallist Usain Bolt as the first set of ambassadors announced for the marquee ICC tournament. 


As a part of his role, Yuvraj Singh will be participating in a variety of promotional events in the United States leading up to and during the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. Among these events is the eagerly awaited India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match in New York on June 9th.

Yuvraj Singh was quoted as saying by ICC: "Some of my fondest cricketing memories have come from playing at the T20 World Cup, including hitting six sixes in an over, so it’s very exciting to be part of this edition, which is set to be the biggest one yet.


"The West Indies is a great place to play cricket with the fans coming to watch creating a vibe that is completely unique to that part of the world, while cricket is also expanding in the USA and I’m excited to be part of that growth through the T20 World Cup."

India and Pakistan, arch-rivals, are scheduled to lock horns in ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 tournament on June 9. The match is surely going to be one the highlights of the tournament.


"India’s clash against Pakistan in New York is going to be one of the biggest sporting fixtures in the world this year, so it’s a privilege to be a part of and to witness the best players in the world playing in a new stadium," Yuvraj said.


ICC World Cup 2024 begins on June 1 and concludes on June 29. A total of 20 teams will compete in 55 matches across 9 venues, with the grand finale scheduled to take place on June 29th in Barbados.
