After their most recent win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Thursday (April 25), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) still remain at the bottom 10th position in IPL 2024 Points Table. With two wins and seven losses so far, RCB's performance has been extremely disappointing.
RCB's 35-run win over SRH was just their second win in IPL 2024. They now have four points. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finds themselves trailing table-toppers Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a big margin of ten points.

While RCB's chances of making it to Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs seem bleak, they can still turn things around and secure a spot in the playoffs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are on the brink of being eliminated from IPL 2024 playoffs race, but they still cling to a slim mathematical possibility of staying in contention.
Here's how RCB can still qualify for IPL 2024 Playoffs
Since the 2022 IPL edition, a team typically requires a minimum of 16 points for a straightforward qualification to IPL playoffs, minimum 8 wins in total. RCB have so far won just two matches thus far and will play five more games in the league stage.
Presently, RCB are at bottom 10th spot with a net run rate of -0.721, with only GT behind them with a marginally worse net run rate of -0.974.
To keep their slim playoff hopes alive, RCB must win all their remaining five games and ensure that they beat their opponents with substantial margins so that they could enhance their net run rate (NRR).
Winning all their remaining five matches will get RCB 14 points, coupled with a favorable net run rate. There's a good possibility of several teams finishing with similar points by the end of the league stage matches.
If RCB manages to maintain a superior net run rate, they could potentially clinch the fourth position in the points table. Remember, only the top four teams in the points table progress to IPL 2024 playoffs.
