'You guys wanted Rishabh Pant': Rohit's hilarious response is something you can't miss | WATCH VIDEO

Speaking to the media at the end of the game, India's deputy captain Rohit Sharma, saw the funny side of Rishabh Pant stepping in to bat at No.4

With the score reading 146/2 in India's mammoth chase against England, Rishabh Pant, who had replaced injured Vijay Shankar in India's playing XI against England, walked in at ‘number 4’ to join Rohit Sharma ahead of in-form Hardik Pandya,  leaving many surprised. Speaking to the media at the end of the game, India's deputy captain Rohit Sharma, saw the funny side of Rishabh Pant stepping in to bat at No.4. "No, not really because you all guys wanted Rishabh Pant to play right?, right from India, you were like where's Rishabh Pant, where's Rishabh Pant, there he is at No.4," Rohit Sharma responded in a hilarious manner when asked if he was surprised at the decision. Watch the hilarious interaction: The wicket-keeper batsman looked anxious, but a lot of counseling from Rohit finally saw him settle down, but Rohit was the next one to throw his wicket away after doing all the hard work and reaching his 25th ODI hundred. Hardik Pandya joined Pant and the two did put on some display as they looked to take the attack to the English bowlers, but one shot too many finally saw Pant (32) perish as Woakes picked a blinder at the long leg boundary. Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were taken to the cleaners by the English batsmen on Sunday.  Rohit said that it becomes difficult for the spinners when the opening bowlers fail to pick early wickets and the opposition batsmen have settled down. "It's always challenging for the bowler, especially for the spinner, if you don't have any wickets down, and we know that they (Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow) like to put pressure on the bowlers. "And when Kuldeep and Chahal came to bowl, they already got off to a decent start, and they didn't allow them to settle down, which was, I think, a tactical move from their side against our two spinners. But it was just an off day for these two guys. We have seen them bowl in tandem really well and put pressure on the batting unit, the opposition rather. So it's just one off day," he explained. Rohit also praised Eoin Morgan's boys for playing quality cricket under pressure. "The England team, they played complete cricket. They bowled really well. They batted really well. They got the result," he said.
