Indian skipper Virat Kohli has put forward of a list of demand to the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) ahead visiting England for the 2019 World Cup. As per the media reports doing rounds, the list of demand includes permission for wives to accompany players, a reserved train coach to travel across England, a hotel with proper gym facilities and an ‘unending stock of bananas’.

The reports claim that Kohli especially made the banana wish after the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) didn’t provide the team with bananas during their recently-concluded tour of England.

It has also been learned that no decision has been taken so far on Kohli’s demands. However, a recommended process is underway.

The Indian skipper has already sought permission from the BCCI to allow players’ wives to travel along in the overseas tours. To this, former Women’s captain and CoA member Diana Edulji responded and said, “More opinions will be taken into the matter and the process may take some more time.”

The BCCI had announced that wives and girlfriends of cricketers will be allowed to stay with their partners only for a duration of two weeks while the team is on an overseas tour.
