Team India Arrival In Delhi: After a prolonged delay due to Hurricane Beryl in the Carribean islands, Team India's T20 World Cup-winning side has finally landed on Indian shores. Rohit Sharma & Co. touched down New Delhi early Thursday morning (July 4) after beaing South Africa to win the T20 World Cup on Saturday (June 29) in Barbados which ended their world title drought of 11 years. Soon after they arrived in a special Air India chartered flight, the team received a grand welcome at the national capital with the entire nation waiting to celebrate the historic triumph with the team.


The Men in Blue's win over the Proteas was special as it marked an end to the dreaded trend of India coming close to a title but losing a knockout match to fall short. This was the team's third final in a year but their first successful attempt in lifting a world title since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

While Indian team landed in Delhi early hours of July 4, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to X and posted a heartwarming video of Indian players getting their hands on the prized T20 World Cup trophy. They captioned the post, "It's home."






Fans Gathered In Large Numbers To Welcome Team India














India's Packed Schedule Upon Arrival


Despite a delay in their homecoming and a 24-hour flight back home, there is still some time to go before they can actually rest at their home. India have a packed schedule upon arrival in New Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to host Team India at his residence and an interaction session with the victorious side.

After the session, the T20 World Cup-winning side which boasts of players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya among others, will take another chartered flight to Mumbai where they have a open-bus victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium with a small function on the cricket field to follow.
