Chennai Super Kings' vice-captain Suresh Raina, veteran spinner Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar and Karan Sharma on Saturday were among the first players who left for Chennai from New Delhi to take part in the seven-day training camp (August 15 to August 20) ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

With this, CSK will become the first and the only team to organise a camp in India before IPL 2020. The franchise has organised a special chartered plane to ferry its players to the city.

Raina took to social media to post a video on his Instagram in which the star middle-order batsman and Chahar can be seen enjoying at the airport. They also posed with the crew members on the plane.

"Thank you so much @vistara for taking us to Chennai!!!" Raina captioned the picture.

From his hometown Ranchi, CSK captain MS Dhoni will directly fly to Chennai to take part in the seven day training camp, that starts from August 15.

Several reports suggested that players are supposed to undergo Coronavirus test after landing in Chennai. MS Dhoni and fast-bowler Monu Kumar have tested negative for Covid-19 and are clear to board flight from Ranchi.

According to the officials, the franchise will ferry their players to UAE on August 21. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh are the two high-profile names that will not take part in the one-week training camp, while bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji is most probably the only coaching staff present to be present in Chennai.
