New Delhi: A crazy incident sent Melbourne Renegades wicketkeeper Peter Nevill tumbling to the turf in his side’s match against the Adelaide Strikers on Monday night.

Adelaide Strikers batsman Brad Hodge swung the bat towards the leg side and his bat flew out of his hands.  The willow soared towards Neville, who was watching the ball go to the boundary line.

The former Australia keeper was stunned to when the flying bat struck him in the head and the medical staff rushed in immediately as he lay on ground.

The 31-year-old keeper had to leave the field with suspected broken jaw.  This was the second time in two weeks where he was taken out of the field after suffering blow on head.
