It was a thrilling end to the five-match T20I series between Australia and India in Bengaluru. While India had scored 160/8 after being asked to bowl first, in the run-chase, Australia needed 10 runs to win and bring the scoreline of the scoreline down to 3-2 after the hosts had already claimed an unassailable lead in Raipur. However, it was not to be as Arshdeep Singh held his nerve and conceded just three runs off the final over as India beat Australia by 6 runs to claim the series 4-1
In a tensed final over, on-field umpire Virender Sharma could not get away in time to a shot by Nathan Ellis. With Australia needing 9 runs to win off 2 deliveries, Ellis made a sweet connection straight down the ground but the ball hit the umpire on a shot which could have easily gone to the boundary. The ball deflected off Arshdeep's hands and hit the umpire. Other than the umpire getting hit, captain Matthew Wade's reaction has also been one of the talking points from that clip.

"It was a good series. The way the boys showed their skills was commendable. We wanted to be fearless, we wanted to enjoy when we were in the middle. I told them, "do whatever is right and just enjoy your game," and they did the same. So very happy with that. If he (Washington Sundar) would have been there it'd have been an add-on.
