The red-ball cricket star batsman on Saturday posted a video of him batting at the nets on social media in which he is seen driving, pulling and middling the ball with his bat with perfection.
"Getting back into the groove!#saturdaysession #musictomyears," Pujara said in a tweet.
Virat Kohli-led team India will play three ODIs, three T20Is and 4 Tests against the Australian cricket team between October 11 and January 17.
Pujara is not the only modern-day great excited about a comeback to the cricketing field amid the Covid-19 pandemic as Australian cricket team's lynchpin batsman Steve Smith was too seen in the nets for the first time in three months. In the video posted by Smith, he can be seen wearing cricket gear.
"First hit in the nets in 3 months. Good news... I remembered how to hold the bat," said former captain Smith in an Instagram post with a photo of him in cricket gear.
