New Delhi: Not that Ravichandran Ashwin needed an alarm to spring into action. But when your counterpart from the opposition is dishing out wickets at his will then you are ought to feel that extra urge, may be to justify your position as the World’s best.

Right at the first hour of Day 2, Ashwin showcased why he is considered the best in the business not only with the ball but also with aggression. With abundance of pressure to bowl out Australia cheaply, Ashiwn came out with an over-the-wicket tactics, trying to exploit the rough on the left hander’s leg stump.

Warner offered his pads successfully to deny Ashwin any success in the first over but the last ball of that same over proved who the boss was. Ashwin beat Warner comprehensively and then threw the ball back at him just to send a quite reminder to stay in the crease.

Ashiwn had just started. Now it was time to show his dominance with the ball. He persisted with the over-the-wicket ploy, pitching the ball on and around Warner’s leg stump to test his patience.

At last the first ball of the 22nd over did the trick. The ball turned viciously pitching on the rough evading Warner’s bat and knocked the uprooted the off stump.
