While fans were wondering whether Ravi Shastri's social media account was hacked after a series of posts in which can be seen positing in a bathrobe went viral on social media, it was later that the cloud of uncertainty was cleared. The revelation came after ex-India cricketer Virender Sehwag shared a video on his social media, confirming that it was actually an advertisement for an online travel company.
In the clip that Sehwag posted, both the former India cricketers can be seen at their hilarious best. While they could be seen enjoying the luxury of a steam box, Sehwag then asks Shastri to relax after the member of the 1983 ODI World Cup-winning India team began commentating, in a style which has become a characteristic feature of him. Sehwag then reminds Shastri that it was actually the company that they were advertising which was the real hero and not the ex-India head coach.
"Ravi bhai bol rahe the ‘Bathrobe bhi utaar dete hai,'" Sehwag captioned the clip of the promotional video.

Ravi Shastri's Viral Social Media Post
Earlier in the day, Shastri's social media post had taken the internet by storm. The 61-year-old shared a picture of himself posing in a bathrobe with an unmissable caption. "I am hottie, I am naughty, I am sixtyyyy," the picture was captioned. Several users commented on it with some having anticipated that this could well be an advertisement. "Anil Kapoor of cricket.. ageing reverse," a social media user wrote. A section of the social media users felt that the account might have been hacked. On the professional front, while Sehwag is currently one of the panelists on Cricbuzz for IPL 2024, Shastri is in the commentary panel for the tournament.
