The Indian team is set to battle against West Indies in the multi-format series where they will play in the two Tests and three-match One-Day-Internationals (ODIs) against West Indies, starting from July 12. The Men in Blue will also take part in a five-match T20 International series during the Windies tour. As we are just a few days away from the high-profile clash, all eyes will be on India’s run machine Virat Kohli, who made his Test debut against the West Indies back in 2011.

In a recent chat, Virat Kohli talked about his favorite memory. He said he got his maiden double hundred in Antigua in front of Sir Vivian Richards.

“My favourite memory obviously is Antigua. I got my first-ever double hundred in Test cricket in Antigua in front of Sir Vivian Richards. That for me was a very, very special moment and then he met me in the evening as well and congratulated me. It can’t get any better than that,” Kohli told Star Sports.

It was in 2016 when Kohli collected his first Test double hundred, which has been followed by five more.  On Sunday, the former India skipper recollected another throwback moment when he posted a picture with India’s head coach Rahul Dravid.

“The only two guys part of the last test we played at Dominica in 2011. Never imagined the journey would bring us back here in different capacities. Highly grateful,” he captioned.

Back in 2011, India took part in a  3-match Test series against West Indies where the third Test transpired in Dominica, and the match finished in a draw. Rahul Dravid made 5 runs in the first innings of this match and 34 runs in the second innings while Virat Kohli, who played only one innings, managed to get 30 runs.
