Former India batter Gautam Gambhir has formally been appointed Team India's head coach by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). While the left-hander was the frontrunner to replace Rahul Dravid at the position whose three-year tenure ended with India's T20 World Cup triumph, an official announcement was made only on Tuesday (July 9).

However, soon after Gambhir took over as the India head coach, an old video featuring Virat Kohli has sparked the interest of fans on social media. The video happens to be from the match in which a young Kohli scored his first international century. Notably, while Gambhir was adjudged the Player Of the Match in that fixture, he decided to hand over the recognition to a young Kohli in appreciation of his efforts.
