In the second One-Day-International game against Australia, Indian captain Virat Kohli missed a century and was dismissed for 89 runs. Henriques bagged a stunning flying catch off Josh Hazelwood's delivery to send the Indian skipper back to the pavilion. However, before getting dismissed, Kohli scored 89 runs off 87 balls. The run-machine unfortunately missed a century but was successful in making a world record in international cricket.

Kohli became the fastest batsman to score 22000 runs in international cricket and surpassed some biggest cricketing legends by doing so. Kohli has also become the only batsman in the world to score the fastest 10 thousand, 11 thousand, 12 thousand, 13 thousand, 14 thousand, 15 thousand, 16 thousand, 17 thousand, 18 thousand, 19 thousand, 20 thousand, 21 thousand and 22 thousand runs in international cricket.


Apart from completing 22000 runs in international cricket, Kohli was also successful in completing 2000 runs in ODIs against Australia. By doing this, Kohli has become the third Indian batsman to have scored 2000 runs in ODIs against Australia. At the same time, he has become the 5th batsman in the world to score 2000 ODI runs against Australia.
