The ICC Men's World Cup 2023 is all set to get underway on October 5 (Thursday) with England taking on New Zealand in the tournament opener. However, less than 48 hours before the start of the marquee event, a post on social media site X (formerly Twitter) has gone viral. The post made by a user who claims to be one of the spectators present at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad for the Pakistan-Australia warm-up game on September 3 (Tuesday), has shared a picture revealing the condition of the seats at the venue which will host its first World Cup match on October 6 set to be played between Pakistan and Netherlands.
When the user realised that the post had actually gone viral with some doubting the authenticity of the claims made in the post, the user then shared a video showing live action from the match along with the visuals of the dirty seats. However, he later clarified that the seats were restricted to a particular stand and there is time for them to be cleaned up before the actual game. For the rest of the stadium, new seats have been installed already.
