Bihar-born Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to make headlines with his record-breaking feats in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. The left-handed batter set a new record by becoming the youngest player to feature in a List A game during his debut for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.

Vaibhav has set the record at 13 years and 269 days. The previous record-holder was Ali Akbar, who played for Vidarbha at 14 years and 51 days during the 1999/00 season.

This adds to Vaibhav's long list of accomplishments, as he had earlier made history as the youngest to play in Ranji Trophy and represent India Under-19.

Back in November, Suryavanshi gained limelight when he became the youngest player ever to be sold in IPL auction, with Rajasthan Royals acquiring him for Rs 1.1 crore.

Suryavanshi's debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy didn't go as he had hoped, as he was dismissed for just 4 runs off 2 balls. After hitting a four on his first delivery, the 13-year-old was out on the very next ball by Aryan Anand Pandey.

Bihar managed to post only 196 runs in the match, which made it easy for Madhya Pradesh to secure a comfortable win. Rajat Patidar, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), scored a fifty for Madhya Pradesh, while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Venkatesh Iyer, who was bought for Rs 23.75 crore in the auction, remained unbeaten till the end.

Fans are thrilled to watch Vaibhav Suryavanshi play for Rajasthan Royals in IPL, where he will have the opportunity to learn from the legendary Indian batsman and coach, Rahul Dravid.
