Bihar cricket team, thrashing Mizoram, defeated the team by 9 wickets in a Plate group match in Round 12 of the Vijay Hazare 2018-19 on Monday, making it to the quarter-finals after 18 years of their return to the domestic cricket. It was a seventh win for Bihar in eight matches in the plate group, while there was no result of one match.


Mizoram's team, batting first in this match, got all out scoring just 83 runs in 27 overs, which was easily chased by Bihar in 15.4 overs by losing just one wicket.


The only wicket for Bihar dropped as Kumar Mridul. Mridul, who could only make five runs. Wicket-keeper batsman Vikas Ranjan played an unbeaten 59 off 50 balls, including nine boundaries. At the same time, Babul Kumar faced 16 balls and scored 17 runs in which four fours were included.


Mizoram's batting lineup failed miserably. Apart from their opening duo, none of the batsmen could score more than 10 runs. Rajput was the highest scorer for Mizoram, scoring 43 runs in 65 balls.


For Bihar, Keshav Kumar took four wickets while Ashutosh Aman got three wickets. At the same time, Summer Kadri and Arunya Singh got one success.
