The exciting Indian U19 team of the 2022 World Cup defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets and eased their way through to the semi-final of the U19 WC.

Left-arm pacer Ravi Kumar was the hero of the match as he bowled a sensational opening spell picking three wickets inside the first eight overs of the match. Bangladesh never really recovered after losing three wickets in quick succession.

This win completed India's sweet revenge over Bangladesh, against whom India had lost in the final of the previous edition of the U19 World Cup.

Uttar Pradesh-born Ravi ended with excellent figures of 7-1-14-3 that helped India bowl out Bangladesh for 111 runs. India chased down the score in 30.5 overs. Opening batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the top scorer with 44 runs.

"Our team combination has been very good and the boys are gelling well. Whenever someone is down, we all get together to bring them up. It is a lifetime experience here. The team is improving day by day," he added.

India will now face Australia in the semi-final who bulldozed Pakistan in the quarter-final. The other semi-final will be played between Afghanistan U19 and England U19.
