The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is being held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat today where the plethora of issues including the announcement of three new selectors are being addressed. The AGM is being attended by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla, President of Hyderabad Cricket Association Mohammad Azharuddin, and other BCCI officials.

In BCCI's AGM meeting, positions for three new selectors will be filled today. As per sources confirming ABP, the interviews for the selectors are already underway. It is understood that Ajit Agarkar, Maninder Singh and SS Das are the frontrunners for the coveted post.

Rao, 55, was a manager with the BCCI and had stints at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as well. Rao reported to BCCI's general manager of cricket operations, Saba Karim, who incidentally is also on his way out after resigning from the post in July this year. With Both Karim and Rao soon to be out of the BCCI system, it will come as a big blow for the board as both they were in-charge of domestic cricket in India, which is yet to resume since the Covid-19 pandemic.
