Gaza: Nearly 70 people have died so far in the ongoing violence in Gaza. The Israeli airstrikes and the attack on the Al-Aqsa mosque have sparked reactions from around the world. Cricketers including Hasim Amla, Irfan Pathan, Kagiso Rabada, Babar Azam, among others were seen voicing out their opinion in support of the Palestinian cause. 


Indian cricketer-turned-commentator, Irfan Pathan wrote: "If you have even slightest of humanity you will not support what’s happening in #Palestine #SaveHumanity" on Twitter. 



Pakistan cricketers were also seen voicing out their support for the Palestinians. Babar Azam, Pakistan captain wrote, "Prayers for the people of Palestine. We just have to be human to stand up for humanity." 




Azhar Ali also wrote: "The unjust acts of terrorism and cruelty happening in Palestine are totally unacceptable. Our hearts bleed for our Muslim brothers & sisters. In the final days of this Holy Month of Ramadan, I request everyone to pray for the situation in Palestine"

Afghanistan spinner and the star of Sunrisers Hyderabad also showed his sympathies for the attacks in Afghanistan and Palestine. he wrote: "As an athlete who plays cricket around the world, I want to see this world out of war. I can’t watch people being killed in #Afghanistan & #Palestine. No crime is more heinous than the killing of a child. I want these children to wake up to the sound of birds & not bombs."



Even other cricketers like Darren Sammy, Kagiso Rabada and Hashim Amla came ahead in support of the Palestine cause. 




Amla wrote a long post on Instagram giving the example of Nelson Mandela:
