India Vs England 4th Test: Indian Cricket Team (ICT) have made one change to their lineup that started in the historic Test victory over England at Rajkot in the third Test match, as Jasprit Bumrah has been granted a much-deserved rest, keeping in mind the upcomimg tiring schedule in the calendar year of 2024. He's set to be replaced by Akash Deep, who will be making his Test debut in the 4th Test match in Ranchi, and boasts an impressive skill set in his arsenal.
The pacer was handed his debut cap by Indian legend and current head coach Rahul Dravid, as the pacer embarks a special journey that promises loads of wickets ahead. The Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer has been on the radar of the national side ever since he was scouted by the Bangalore franchise few years ago and had an impressive Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where the pacer managed to rattle batters by scalping 6 wickets in 7 innings.
The bowler becomes the fourth Indian player to make his Test debut this series, after Rajat Patidar, Sarfraz Khan, and Dhruv Jurel made their debut, and he will be having a big onus at his disposal, as he comes in for arguably the greatest fast bowler India ever produced, and current world number 1 Test bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.
Akash Deep is a right-arm fast bowler and has a terrific seam position, and holds immense ability to make the ball seam on lesseer bowler-friendly tracks as well. With a frantic batting order of England at display this series, Akash Deep can very much fancy his chances of dismantling the top order of The Three Lions.
