Test cricket returned to Kanpur after three years with the city hosting the India vs Bangladesh second Test match at the iconic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. However, rain played a spoilsport on both Day 1 and Day 2, leaving not only fans but even the players frustrated. While there was a bit of a delayed start on the opening day of the second Test due to overnight rain and a wet outfield and then rain returned to force early stumps, play was not possible at all on Day 2 which was called off without a ball bowled.

Even Team India players were left frustrated and returned to their hotel even before the day was called off as rain continued to play hide and seek in Kanpur. A video of the players leaving the stadium for their hotel surfaced on social media with the clip goingly viral on the internet.
