India will begin their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, Sri Lanka and ahead of the much-anticipated game, the official broadcaster of the tournament has even rolled out a promotional video.
The advertisement features Gadar 2 star Sunny Deol. Interestingly, the theme of the movie also revolves around India and Pakistan. The clip wittingly sees Deol giving the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 match a Gadar twist as he talks about becoming the central character of the movie Tara Singh as soon as the on-field action commences.

Meanwhile, the Asia Cup 2023 match won't be the only IND vs PAK match this year. In this tournament itself, the likelihood of at least one more clash between India and Pakistan is immense. If both teams reach the Super Fours stage of the tournament, they will meet again on September 10. In case of an India vs Pakistan final, it will be third such encounter between the two teams in Asia Cup 2023. The final will be played in Colombo which will also be the venue for the IND vs PAK Super Fours match.
In addition, India will also lock horns against Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad when the Babar Azam-led side travel to India for the ODI World Cup 2023. There again, there could be a potential India vs Pakistan fixture in the knockout stages.
