Shoaib Akhtar shared a video after Pakistan's semi-final loss to Australia. In this video, a child named 'Saleh' is seen crying in agony after Pakistan's loss.
Pakistan faced a shocking end to their World Cup campaign as Matthew Wade hit three sixes out of nowhere to Pak's best bowler - Shaheen Afridi. With these sixes, Pakistan was thrown out of the World T20.
The whole of Pakistan descended into sorrow. Shoaib Akhtar shared a video of this child to demonstrate the 'feeling of Pakistan fans'. Akhtar captioned the video: "This is what happens when your team plays well. Fans get engaged. That's why this World Cup was so important for us."
Here is the video:
Akhtar expressed his disappointment by saying, "Pakistan should have scored 20-odd runs more. They played slow in the middle overs. The whole nation has broken hearts now. Never mind, you have done well! A lot to learn from you guys and a lot to learn from this match. This WC was ours to grab!"
"I am feeling sad that Pakistan lost the match. It is unfortunate, but we can't stop backing the team. We can't be bad losers. We have to accept that Australia played great cricket," Akhtar said in another video.
