Australia beat Namibia by 9 wickets in their ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 faceoff at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. The win has given Australia a guranteed berth in the Super Eight stage of the tournament. It was a clinical performance from the Men in Yellow who first bowled out Nambia out for 72, the Aussies chased down the total inside the powerplay itself.

The record was broken by Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus who scored his 1st run off the 17th ball that he faced. With this he went past Kenya's Tanmay Mishra who had taken 16 balls to score his first run.
