T20 Spring Challenge 2024: The latest addition to Australia's domestic calendar is the T20 Spring Challenge. Notably, since the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) has been reduced from 14 to 10 matches per season from the forthcoming edition of the tournament, Cricket Australia (CA) has come up with this tournament to ensure that the overall number of matches remain the same.
Consequently all the same eight WBBL franchises will feature in the tournament along with an Australian Capital Territory (ACT) team. Every team will play four league matches and the top four sides will proceed to the semis. The tournament is scheduled to commence on October 11 with the final schduled on October 20.
