Sheffield Shield 2024-25 Season: Australia’s domestic first-class cricket competition is set to get underway with the Sheffield Shield 2024–25 season, kick-starting on October 8 (Tuesday). Western Australia will defend the title as they clinched the 2023-24 season by defeating Tasmania in the finals. With no international fixtures at the moment, Australia have named some international faces for the tournament to ensure they are well-prepared for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, scheduled to begin on November 22.
