Colombo: Rahul Chahar stunned everyone with a great catch on the boundary of Avishka Fernando. Chahar came a long way running to take the catch, he maintained his balance well and as he realised the momentum was taking him over the boundary rope, he quickly flicked the ball back into play and caught it again.
It was a great display of outfield catching by the young spinner. Bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar and coach Rahul Dravid were extremely happy with that effort.
Take a look at the catch below:
India is defending a small total of 133 and they require every bit of these inspiring performances on the field. Avishka Fernando was the first man to be dismissed for 11 runs in 13 balls. India has five bowlers on the side.
Earlier in the match, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first. Shikhar Dhawan said that he would have batted first anyway. The India captain said, "There are four debutants. Lots of changes due to obvious reasons. We're all looking forward to this. We're street-fighters and ready to face the challenges."
"The second T20I between Sri Lanka and India originally scheduled to be played on July 27 has been pushed forward by a day and will now take place on Wednesday, July 28," the BCCI had said in a statement on Tuesday.
