New Delhi: Unusual incidents are not rare in an ever so uncertain world of cricket. Whether it was a four of four by Lastih Malinga or a last ball six my Mashrafe Mortaza to get Bangladesh over the line but what transpired in the South African domestic cricket cannot be called normal by any means.

A 19 year-old South Africa women’s cricketer scored 160 in a T20 game. If that was not amusing then here is the main catch. She was the only player to score runs as the rest of her team mates contributed zero.

Mpumalanga’s Shania lee Swart scored a staggering 160 not out off 86 balls with 12 sixes and eighteen boundaries in a T20 match against Easterns  during the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Girls Under-19 Week in Pretoria.

Swart scored a whopping 95% runs of her team.

The highest score in T20s stands with Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) Chris Gayle, when the Caribbean left hander smashed 175 in an IPL match against Pune Warriors India.

Amazingly Mpumalanga’s total stood at 169 for 8 at the end of 20 overs with extras contributing 9 runs. The eight players who got out were all dismissed for duck.

The surprise factor does not end there. The match also saw a hat trick by Easterns bowler Khoza Masingata who returned with match figures of 4 for 24.

Mpumalanga went on to win the match by 42 runs as Easterns could only manage 127 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
