Shivam Dube's Absence A Major Setback For India

Dube has been a vital cog in the Indian team setup in recent times and his absence could be felt strongly by India against Bangladesh. The left-hander has played a key role in India's middle order with his aggressive batting, while his medium-pace bowling has also provided a useful option for India as he has the ability to chip in with quiet overs.

Last seen in the India vs Sri Lanka ODI’s, Dube’s performance in the series was below-par as he could only score 34 runs in three matches and could only secure one wicker.

However, Dube played an integral part in India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 where he scored 133 runs in 8 matches on bowling-friendly wickets in the USA and the Caribbean.
